Hi,

I'm upgrading my notebook memory, adding another 512MB.
My laptop is a TOSHIBA 2410 (Pentium IV).
Which memory should I use? Is it DDR RAM or SDRAM?

Will a no-brand/generic memory work with my laptop? Otherwise I'd have to buy like Kingston memory which is more expensive.

Thanks in advance!

Most modern laptops use SODIMMs (Small Outline DIMMs) for their memory. What I did before purchasing more memory for mine is I looked up the exact type it used on one of the memory sales sites. (Via Google.)

I don't know if generic memory will work, but I don't see why not... The dark ages of standard parts not being standard are (thankfully) over. (HD and RAM have standard interfaces now.)

Make sure you consult Toshiba to find out which RAM is needed for your system
