I am a goose: entered this thread in MAC forum by accident: every body will think (and know) I am a goose.

I am an old dinosaur and run a P4- 2.4gb machine with XP home edition.

Recently had an run in with AdWare but I nearly won, except left with the legacy of this error message on booting up the machine.

I don't know if the presence of this error is benign or malignant but would be eternally grateful if somebody could help me remedy the problem.

I used to be in my element in DOS 6.2 and DOS 3 and WIN 3.11 but an lost in this new fandangled XP gear.

Could the presence of this problem be responsible for the continuous dropouts on my Wireless Internet connection.

Any assistance gratefully accepted.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or the desktop & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {000020DD-C72E-4113-AF77-DD56626C6C42} - C:\WINDOWS\twaintec.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load

Not sure about the dropouts. No indication in your log to a problem that I can see.

I deleted that other thread for you, Mr. Goose.
