I just accidently deleted my entire iTunes folder 35G, Had spent the last two weeks sorting out id3 tags artwork ect. and transferred it to an external harddrive. Later made a eal blunder and went to transfer another (As I thought a copy) to same harddrive and clicked "replace" I know...............

I have datarescue II but it only seems to find individual mp3 files (no Id3 tags) Is it possible to recover complete folders?

I am using Mac Tiger 10.4.11

If you can find the folder in the deleted files you should be able to restore IT and all the contents.......

On Windows we have a program called RESTORATION (Like what your using) and it will bring back folders (And if it had files in it when deleted usually recovers them also)

Try this program > http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/R_Studio_for_Mac_Data_Recovery_54017_p

Good luck :)

As far as I can ascertain this is possible on Windows but not Mac as it eliminates all file structures. I have found the mp3s but no folders and no id3 tags. Not really feasible to redo id3 tags on 7,000 tracks.
Thanks for answering. any other suggestions would be appreciated.
