Hey, I've recently acquired some really cool software from a friend… what I was given is the .dmg file and the relevant patches.app files… I have no Idea what the hell a patch.app is and how in the world it is supposed to help me install the software on my HD… I've tried the traditional way, just opening up the .dmg file and letting my computer do the thinking for me… but that doesn't work because it keeps asking me for DVD's I don't have mid way through the installation in order to actually finish the installation… Research into the issue vaguely explained what a patch is, but I still am not able to make the mental connection between it and my desired end… Help!
