Hi all. My neibor just recently gave me a "tangerine" imac. It is running mac os 9. I am trying to install various .sit files. I understant I need stuffit expander for that. I downloaded stuffit, but it is in a hqx file. I searched google, and it said I needed stuffit. Google didnt yield any results.
EDIT: I Just thought I should include the error. "Cannot open because cannnot find the application that created the file"
Depending on your exact OS 9 installation, Stuff-It is / was usually included as part of the install. Do a File > Find for Stuff-It or Aladdin. If it's there, it's buried but I don't remember where (Internet Extras or something like that). If you find the program, launch it and then do a File > Open (or whatever) and it should recognize the .sit files.
