I'm looking for a Virtual Machine that can boot up an already installed Linux (Fedora). I tried VirtualBox a bit, but I understand you have to install an OS on a virtual disk to make it boot. I just want to boot it without reinstalling, and I remember I had a program that did this once but I can't remember the name.

The problem with this is that the hardware that your virtualization software will emulate would be different from what the OS on the partition is expecting, so it might not work properly.

I know that there are virtualization programs that can run an existing partition, but I don't know one off the top of my head. Try Imaging the partition to the virtual system, or creating restore disk images and loading what you need that way.
