I have a virus on my dell inspiron desktop running Windows XP service pack 1a

I have 1 account on the computer and it is password protected

I am trying to use the xp disk to repair my windows

I go through, hit f12 and then choose to run from cd

It goes through, asks we what I want to recover from, I say the C:\ drive

it then asks for the administrator password

I tried putting in my password... nothing, I have since been putting in random ones that i thought could be it, and nothing still

If I try to leave it blank, it just puts me into a C:> command prompt

Is there a generic one, or am I just missing something here?

If you googled this you would have 15000000 answere in 1 second. Renove the PCs battery for 30 secs and it will be ok
