I have a computer that will not power. At all, what so ever! No power at all. I was thinking that it was the battery. I am not so sure, I want to get an outsiders opinion on this matter before I do any major 'sugery'

Check the outlet your plugging into.

The outlet is good. I forgot to mention:
I turned the monitor on and off. It is fine... that means that the power strip that it is plugged into is fine as well, so is the outlet in the wall. I took the computer out of the room and into my office to see if it was a plug error. I get the same results as before: No power.

power supply could be dead .
Case Switch could be broke if it a older AT type computer.

Try different cords in ther powersupply
