Automatic updates won't come up on the taskbar.

Windows update won't load.

I went to stop the automatic updates under services. *not Disable*

it says that it reached and error

I'm guessing I accidentally went to this site called av5scan.com that was disguised as another.

it just kept prompting me to download this obvious malware, I just clicked cancel and cancel.

I managed to stop the attack, ran adaware, avg, turned on automatic updates, then went to the windows update site, clicked express and started downloading, stopped at the 3rd download frozen.

1 hr passed I decided to reset the computer.

Then the first few steps that occured as I mention above started.

Hijack this report's right here.

jB, if you come on could you please remove that URL w3.av5scan.com? Folks are sure to click it to see what it is and a javascript will lock down their browser until they click that and get loaded with a problem. [Best solution if you do click something like that is to close the browser process in Task Manager...]

apparently I didn't get infected at all.

I just need to properly restart the computer by turning it all the way off, and windows update runs just fine.
