My computer is really slow starting up. I downloaded a registry cleaner called easy clean but I'm not sure what I should erase from the start up menu. If I delete items from the start up menu--will it completely remove them from my computer?

No it will not ,you will just need to open them manually in start/ programs , if you don't know what to turn off at start up then don't use the reg clean program ,
try this program i recommend and use it myself ,start up lite ,

and for registry cleaning and temp file removal i reccommend and use ccleaner.

and you may want to download the malware /trojan removal tool in my signature , malwarebytes and post log back here after the scan .
