i am trying to reformat my hard drive on a dell dimension 8400. i am using the xp disk that came with the system and get as far as the prompt to install windows and then the message at the bottom says examiing 152587 mb disk 0 at id 0 on bus 0 on iastor and stays there. will not go any further. any ideas.

so i went into bios and selected the combined option in the RAID section and voila ..... i am now reformatting the hard drive...YAHOO
