Is there anyplace to get fdisk and format that is on cd,and will work?
i want to redo a dell laptop that has no floppy!.No place to hook 1 up.
can the programs be used on cd?.

The windows install cd will be able to format the drive if you tell it to.

or you could get the appropriate file from www.bootdisk.com and use Nero to create a bootable disk copying the files to it in the process

try windows 98 bootable CD, if you want to use fdisk and format the drive. For that use command as follows:
1. fdisk (if you want to create and remove partition)
2. format <drivename>: (to format the drive)

This is what id like to do,
put fdisk and format command on a cd rom.The cd
must be bootable.i have win98 3 and a quarter disk.
Would like it on cd rom.
