this problem pertains to my other laptop, We are in the UAE and have been using the computer without a problem until I tried downloading aol. I no longer have access it seems it erased Internet explorer and I don't know what to do to reload it without the site allowing me access.

Try reinstalling IE8 from microsoft site. It had happened to me. But the way you can try other browsers like mozilla or chrome for faster surfing.
