When dragging text between applications I am not sure where Windows stores the text during such an operation.
I guess that it might be on the stack or heap.

I am interested from a security perspective. It is presumably possible for a 3rd party application to grab that text just as a key logger grabs key strokes.

How accessible is text during a drag and drop event?
