When my computer was booting up the f10 button was pushed several times . Now all I have is a black screen . I'm running windows xp .Please help

Alright. Unplug the PC. IF it is a laptop, remove the battery. Wait a minute. Plug the power cord back in. Make sure your monitor is on. Try to boot and tell us everything you see and hear. Lights on PC? Lights on monitor (Color)? Hard drive spinning? Fans turning? Any text at all on screen? Screen flash? Any beeping pattern?
