I have to do reinstallation due to virii destruction in this laptop. I need to slipstream Drivers to this installation. Where to get SATA drivers so that the HDD will be recognized? Currently XP CD SP3 Doen't recognize the drive. Is there another trick?

have you tried Gateway's web site

XP allows you to indicate third party drivers. Like caperjack said, get your SATA drivers (and any disk controllers) for the manufacturer and burn them to a disk. I would also grab the NIC drives while you are at it; they can be on the disk too.

Press F6 during the XP install when prompted at bottom of screen (I think is says SCSI or RAID).

If you have problems, post them and we will try to help.

Good luck.

Thanks I'm visiting their site. But installing, No floppy disk !
