trying to sort this one out all day,can download any program,install them,but xp will not open them,this machine belongs to a mate of mine,any ideas would be greatly appreciated,thanks in advance.huggie

Jump to PostWelcome to Daniweb Huggie. Can you post more details please ? System specs, have you scanned for nasties?, have you tried the 'Run' command or launching directly from the program's executable? (rather than just double clicking on a shortcut), do existing programs work normally, etc.

firstly,wrong forum his OS is vista,but gladly it has been solved using this http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/exefix_vista.zip
