Trying to reinstall XP on a Dell Laptop. BIOS is pointing to External CD drive in F2 setup. Getting the message: Initializing MBA CTL + ALT+ B is prompted. There is a disable option which was selected but remains when starting up. How can I suppress this and boot to the drive?

Push F12 on the bios screen instead of f2 this will allow you to select the boot device you wish to use directly.

Much thanks for the timely reply. Should have mentioned that I tried that as well. Only difference is that it leads to PXE boot with the option to select F1 or F2 followed by "no operating system"
