Getting an error that reads:

Error loading c:\Program files\windows photo gallery\photo viewer.dll

c:\Program files\windows photo gallery\photo viewer.dll
is not a valid Win32 application.

That is when I try to click on a photo that is saved on my computer.

Also get a win 32 error as I try to install my web camera.

Running windows vista.

first lets deal with the missing photo viewer.dll...after that we will work on the webcam

you will need to run sfc /scannow...

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

for vista...
go to the run box and type in cmd
instead of hitting the Enter key press Ctrl+Shift + Enter You will be prompted with the obnoxious User Account Control dialog… but it will then open up a command prompt in Administrator mode...then type in sfc /scannow
