I have been trying to update an old Toshiba Satellite (2805-S202), from Windows ME to W2K pro. I have managed to find just about all of the W2K compatible drivers except for the ethernet and S3 video drivers. Since I do not have the ethernet driver, I cannot get it onto the net, and use one of the driver programs to search the net. Can anyone help with locating the drivers? The Video driver is an S3 Savage/IX M7 driver, and apparently the ethernet is an Intel Fast Ethernet PCI driver, but none of the drivers I have downloaded seem to work. The Toshiba site has none of the drivers, and the S3 Graphics site has a legacy driver for the video that says it supports W2K, but when I install it, the message I receive is that it is not W2K compatible.
