I had the MS office basic 2003 pre-installed by HP. I registered fine but now when i try to open word or excel all I get is the 2inch by 3 inch tag that says micsoft word 2003 but the program never opens.

When I do a cnt-alt-dlt it shows nothing. I don't understand why it will not open??? I have uninstalled it and reintstalled. I even had HP send me a new disc but I still does not work.

Please help!!!!!!!!

there's a file called normal.dot . Do a search for it, then delete any copy of it you find. Report back to us if that helps.
