My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP2, when I try to install a program or Windows UPdates I get a message that the Windows Installer could not be accessed. I have been unable to install anything for sometime,it would appear that Windows Installer is still on my system but can't be accessed. How do I repair this or install a new Windows INstaller? I will need to know the version to install, as apparently there sre many avaiable,not all are suitable for my OS. I think I will need a standalone version of the Installer, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
