I make weekly backup of data in the server company in an external hard drive, good most of the time I do the backup while working hours so everyone has access to the server, my problem is the following: copying is erroneous it shows me errors and I do not know the cause, I think it is because of sharing data when copying ?????
What do you think. ????

Well the first question is what are the errors you are seeing??
Secondly since you say this is a Windows based server you can use Task Scheduler to do the copying for you after hours. That way you can avoid the users being in the files when you are trying to copy them.
