I added an image background to my MS Word document. But it doesn't show in Print Preview. I tried an output as a PDF file (via a PDF driver). In that file also, the background doesn't appear. Is there anyway to get this done?

If a PDF or printer still drops the background, insert the picture into the header (double‑click the top margin to edit the header), add the image, stretch it to cover the page, set its wrapping to sit behind text, then close the header. Header/footer artwork is handled more consistently by printers and PDF creators than Word’s page-background mechanism, so this usually survives conversion.

1. Click "Tools" then "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Print" tab.
3. Check "Background colors and images".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
