Ok I have two computers connected to a linksys router. I have cable internet. One computer tests out to 16 mbps and the other clocks out at a max of 2mbps. Why is one computer faster than the other. The two computers are both running vista. Yes one is slightly better but I can only assume that it has nothing to do with my problem. I have tried plugging the slower cimputer directly to the modem without the router and it makes it slower (.44 mpbs). I am so confused PLEASE HELP!

I am having exactly the same problem, same speed problems, linksys router. I have ran spybot, malwarebytes and ccleaner. Still unable to match my other computer speedtest.net speeds. Some help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using ethernet cables to hook up both computers to the router as opposed to wirelessly.
