I run a couple of small networks (Windows Server 2003) and client machines run Windows XP Pro.
XP is set up to synchronize offline files at log off. Files that can be synchronized are but file that are not available either because the user has left the network or some other reason post an error ' unable to synchronize offline files'. For example: I brought a computer from another domain (location 1) and network and connected it to the new domain (location 2). At log off XP is trying to synchronize the offline files from the old domain. Obvioulsy it can't find them and comes up with an error.
I have been into the Synchronize Manager and tried to uncheck the files from synchronizing but at next log off it comes back.
How do I tell XP to stop synchronizing these offline files
