Hahahahahha. If you think that is going to stop students from getting past blocks, then you are dead wrong. There are so many more ways to get past the blocks. Also if you want to prove to your seniors that your are capable of doing a job, then I suggest learn how to spell.

My Dear Friend,

The only reason why my grammar sucks is because i am portuguese and not English. The day you learn how to speak portuguese then let me juge you about it.

And about the software consurne leave that to me, because i came to this forum thinking that i will find mature people that have some maners to speak to other people..

And to me a favor don't bother to speak to me again.

Thank You.

And just for your knowledge i speak Potuguese,English,Hindi/Urdo, Memon and Machangane.

No pun intended my portugese friend,;)

I am sorry for saying that and I should not have. But this is no reason to double post! No hard feelings. Also I speak spanish. Not as many languages as you though.

Never mind, no hard feeling. What’s gone is gone..

About the software i was talking about, it will not stop them totally that is a fact, but will slowdown a little, and that is what are we looking for..;)

Akeelz, probably the best place to look is the current thread we have going on this topic:

Thanks.

The thread you are talking about is exactly the opposite of what I was asking. But anyway thanks for the reply.

Actually you could find out how some of the kids do it and use that to your advantage.

yeh, i am using a software =called web tracker to see every site they do in but you can imagine the hard wokr..

O ya, I can imagine.

I take it these are High School level kids or higher (age 15+)?

Lastly, how many kids are in the school?

Thanks.

Well mostly 15+ so you can imagine the hard work, and i would be around 1500 users..

Well that is a bunch of kids to try and stop. To make it worse almost all of those kids want to look at pr0n in school. Does each kid have all there own account or is it global login for everyone?

Every one have his own login and drive space in the network which is controlled by the teachers and us if needed, to make sure they have no pornographic or harmful material in the network, if they are couth miss using or abusing the internet allowance they are ban from using it, therefore they only can work in their space but can't use the internet at all, till the teacher an ban it.
We even have a remote control procedure where we monitor in regular basis everything they are doing on their pc to make sure nothing is skipping out our filters.
Has you can see we do have almost all facilities created to make sure they do behave when in school but never is enough.
Therefore we are trying to improve it in every way and that is why I always like to be aware of any other ways that is available to be sure that we are secure from it, after all the school reputation is on the line.

I would check to see if students have been going to websites with there ip addresses instead of there regular addresses. This could be a problem because the student could be using a proxy at home or it could bypass your filters. Just check because I am sure there are students doing this. I am sure your admin/admins missed this. Well almost sure.

Yes, it do happen but that is why every single day we check all the history of what was browse during the previous day, and the first thing I do is go to the site that were accessed by ip address and filter them to ban if necessary.
As I said before it don't stop them but slow them down, and I know who that students are so I always keep my eyes open. Anyway that is part of my job.

Yea I was just making sure. But do you actually do school work or do you get to monitor the computers and be an admin all day? Do you get paid for that? Just some stuff I am wondering cause that is pretty sweet.

Yes that is my job, apart of the support work

PeerGuardian may be - http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
this is a high-performance IP filter. Open source, comes with preintsalled and regularly updated filters.

Thanks i will be looking at it...
