Active Directory doesnt have any specific requirement for a certain ip network range. Your IP range and number of subnets depends on other factors. Once you determine how your network is going to be designed, then, yes you can proceed with your DHCP implementation.

Do you plan on having all 2500 IPs participate in the same subnet/vlan? Are you going to have different subnets, routing?

Do you know how to break up a range of IPs?
