Hi, Im running wireless broadband of a BT Hub, using a safecom wireless lan adapter. My internet was fine but now im being told my default gatway is offline, although I am told I am connected and signal strengh is good. All other computers in the house r still running fine....please tell me wats gone wrong.

Something seems wrong with the DHCP. Your computer can't seem to get an IP address with DHCP, so it defaults to the 169.254.x.x series. It almost seems like you need to set the default gateway for this particular computer, which can be obtained from BT Hub. That's what their tech support staff is for.
