I'm trying to access my roommate's wireless connection (she uses a Dell laptop and a Netgear? router) but her password is not allowing my Mac laptop to access the network. I've tried entering the regular password in the WEP Password field, and also the converted password into the long 128-bit hex string, to no avail. Message keeps telling me I'm entering the wrong password.

Managed to figure it out later that day. Well, not really. I have no idea why I wasn't able to select the network I wanted to access and provide the password to connect. However, I WAS able to choose "Other" in the menu, type out the name of the network, enter the password and everything was A.O.K.
