I want a line of buttons down the side of a swing window. I got this code so far:
import javax.swing.*;
import java.awt.*;
class basic extends JFrame // implements ActionListener
{
public basic()
{
super("Till");
setSize(600,500);
setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
setVisible(true);
Container contentArea = getContentPane();
contentArea.setBackground(Color.white);
BorderLayout flowManager = new BorderLayout();
contentArea.setLayout(flowManager);
JPanel Left = new JPanel();
contentArea.add(Left, BorderLayout.WEST);
Left.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(400,getSize().height));
JPanel Right= new JPanel();
Right.setLayout(new BoxLayout(Right, BoxLayout.PAGE_AXIS));
Right.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(200,getSize().height));
ImageIcon cup = new ImageIcon("pics/pots.gif");
JButton button1 = new JButton(cup);
// button1.setBackground(false);
button1.setBorderPainted(false);
button1.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(111,51));
ImageIcon BROC = new ImageIcon("pics/broc.gif");
JButton button2 = new JButton(BROC);
Right.add(button1);
Right.add(button2);
contentArea.add(Right, BorderLayout.EAST);
}
public static void main(String[]args)
{
basic eg = new basic();
}
}
that leaves me with a thick blue border round the images (which are plain colours at the mo.) Like the picture is too small and you can see the default button round it. (pic attached). How do you get rid of that? And while i'm here, when that app first opens you can't see the right pane. Have to resize the window to see it.. how come?
Bill Gates was riding a small private airplane in a remote region
when he hears "BING! - Autopilot has encountered an error and needs to close"
Score!
Sounds abit like the 2012 olympics in london
>If nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show it?
go to the cinema and ask them.
>Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?
I would say it has something to do with plastic.
>Do penguins have knees?
Ask someone who knows the anatomy of a penguin
>How come people tell you not to stand in front of an emergency exit when if there was an emergency surely you would run through it?
Because if you just stood infront of it, in a non emergency. and remained there in an emergency (some people would). you would get in the way. That it might be motion alarmed.
>Why did Sally sell seashells on the seashore when you can just pick them up anyway?
To make money off idiots.
>In libraries, do they put the bible in the fiction or non-fiction section?
See cinema answer.
>Can you cry underwater?
Try it.

BIOS was just turned off. There was 2 in there. one broke. Something like that. And her brother is still insisting on the Harddrive being the problem
uh, I didn't say that. what the hell.
I asked: I legitimate copy of vista?
A legitimate one this time?
It's been sitting in the same place for years. Also, it tends to die when you plug stuff in to the same adapter that the pc's plugged into
her brother says it's definitly a harddrive probelm because:
if it was a hardware prob, then the pc would restart at different times, but it restarts at exactly the same point each time
Judging by when the auction was listed I would guess that possibly school wasn't in session yet and the kids were off for summer? (I don't know what school sessions are like in the UK but smack dab in the middle of summer means no school for kids in the US - unless they're enrolled in a special summer school...)
yeah, kids went back todayish.
My friends' pc is stuck in the cycle of booting to the:
-run in safe mode
-run in safe mode with command prompt
-last know good configuration
-start normally
menu.
After choosing any option it restarts. the power unit was replaced recently, and it used to have 2 BIOS's but one died. Regularly the pc was crashing with the error of failed BIOS (or similar).
Windows xp (genuine) that was "built from different parts". (sorry can't be more detailed).
Any ideas?
that music was farking annoying.
Apprently I think sex is yuck because i don't like coffee.... :D
Though Horse being bottom of the list was spot on.

Not for me, i signed up to 2. So far i have heard.... nothing. from either. It's been months.

Explorer.exe and internet explorer are different things, IE is used to browse the net, explorer.exe is a windows porcess which, well lets you use it easily http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explorer.exe
As to why it's closing. Could be corrupted from a virus? Try a system restore and go back to before this was happening. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

Also try downloading spybot serach and destroy http://www.download.com/3000-8022_4-10401314.html and running that. This should help with the unknown files (which you were right, should go)
Sure it doesn't say exploer.exe is closing?
I thought Larmeisters original joke was funny.
Don't shoot me. :)
I know, I don't get the joke.. where's God going to find a lawyer. Is that it? Oh wait, did he send them all to hell or something?
I read about this in the paper (ok, skimmed it). I think it sums up the world: hypocritical.
I fail to see why I should show up at school in my underwear unprepared for a test just because life is short.
haha :D
I've never had that dream..
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed.. Also, I don't get it.
Am I the only one who didn't think there was a mystery to the star?
they will easily survive those few hard working foreigners in their neighborhood
More then a few, I promise yar bumsfeld. Also "hard working" would describe probably about 50% of 'em. Then again, you could also say that about the english population.
Aye, i think her oldest was 12 and youngest 4 or something.. yeah i read some of the blog. She coulda typed it up when they were in bed.
hey... what about those sites that supposedly pay you for filling surveys and testing products and attending focus groups and stuff?
Thats what i posted a link to, well a forum with a list of em.
>I once purposed to a lady friend and she said no ... broke me heart ... I still think about her. Sure we were like 7 but ... that's not the point.
Haha bless ya :)
A friend propsed to his gf, she said "F*** off peter I'm watching Desperate Housewives". Seriously. Poor bloke.
Ddi you follow the instructions on the link i gave you?
To check your updates, I think they are in the add/remove panel (from control panel) near the bottom there should be a long list of updates. Not sure if this applies to 05 versions of media centre.
Turn off your antivirus (temporarily while it installs, turn back on afterwards), that worked for me. Some of them block the registry from being edited.
Because people have to cross ocean to get here?

slightly better chance of getting free money :)
the email saying this thread has a reply got sent to my spam because of "free stuffs" i guess. :D
oh i signed up to something else. cant remember what it was now. So far i got nothing from it. Supposed to fill in surverys and when you do enough you get £50 or something.
edit: yougov.com!
I tried one of them, i put my good ol' spam account email (gmail for when i dont want to use my regular one). And hey presteo, hit up 600 spam emails in 30 days, all advertising free stuff/deals.
And the laptop i originally went for? Not there after you answer the questions. Boo!
I wouldn't upgrade. WM10 is alot better.
Do you have the KB900325 (Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) and KB925766 (the October 2006 Update Rollup) updates? these are nessacary accoring to microsoft.
>Perhaps Britain is just lax when it comes to immigration
No prehaps. Britain IS lax, very very and when they find the illegal ones "hey yo, have a house thats legal and nice". Or "stay in this detention centre where you can demand more variety of chocolate biscuits and super-comfortable matresses and sky tv and you'll get it!"
And yup, Dagenham, Barking that area: you walk into a supermarket you'll probably see about two or three white people and at least ten times that in a variety of non-white.
cheers, i disabled it through startup, we'll see what happens.
Do you think the alcmtr.exe could be causing my BSOD which are because of a "device clashing with windows" ? And is the scan on that site safe?
thanks for the info btw.
ahhhh the little info bar at the top says one unread pm.. I can't find it :angry: I tried logging out and in again, only got one email saying new pm, info bar said 2. read one.. the only one! :confused:
how do i get it to say zero again? Or am i missing something?
these two entries are alongside my normal hijackthis logfile:
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [DWQueuedReporting] "C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\DW\dwtrig20.exe" -t (User 'SYSTEM')
O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\Run: [DWQueuedReporting] "C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\DW\dwtrig20.exe" -t (User 'Default user')
hijackthis.de said they were Microsoft Application Error reporting. (Which i''m guessing would be from some random errors a while ago.) Does that mean they can go? There was no user feedback to say yay or nay.
also O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE is apprently really bad but has always been on my acer laptop sinice i bought it. (running windows xp media centre).
