Ok... I have changed the cable, tried disabling the Drive and still I get the same error. What now? Not trying to challenge those who have more knowlege than me, just simply asking.
I just have a teacher kinda riding my back about this computer because she wants her information and have a working A drive.
Everyhing Else! --> Nothing Left
On the cover: Hmm... Well, I say that we first put a Pic of Dani on it (There's your hot chick) and all around the pic, include topics that are relevent to the site and to everyday techie life.
Just a thought
Wow, been a while since I posted here.
Anywho, I have an A drive that refuses to work.
The error message that I get is this:
Disk I/O Error
Replace the Disk, and then press any Key
I know that is associated with having a disk in the drive, but when I went to check the drive to see if there was one, it was empty.
I checked to see if a metal tab was stuck in there, nothing.
I have changed out the drive with another drive and get the same results. My gut says that it has something to do with the computer, and not the drive.
Any ideas as to what is the problem?
Too many ignorant people think it's for little kids.
I completlely agree with that. Many people see an anime on TV and see the censored version. Like Tenchi Muyo... That is HEAVILY censored. So is the series Fooly Cooly. I think that alot of people need to give anime a chance and not think that it is only for kids. But I will say this: The worst US anime, or the US' worst attempt at an anime would have to be Totaly Spies on Cartoon Network (but I will admit that I do watch it sometimes, when I am bored).
CSN&Y --> Old Band
(Crosy, Stills, Nash and Young) Am I right?
Okay, let me just show you what I am working with. I have the thing set up now and it still does not work.
This is what I have in Two of the rooms that are seperate.
This is the back of it. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
Cars are okay, but a truck will help you more!
Yeah, I know. It is kinda becoming a habit of mine. I hope to one day master the art of sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night at about 3 AM every night and stare at the clock for a breif second and then go back to bed. I wake up all tired and everything. I am still just an amature. I will learn sleep...
If there is a person in the world who does not like Anime (in some shape, form or fashion) I would like to meet that person and prove them wrong.
Note: This is not an invite to challenge me at all. It is just a saying. (please don't hurt me) *Coveres head with arms and crouches down*

What drives me to look and gain computer knowlege... Well, I'd have to say my parents. My mother says that I will rule Microsoft one day (Um, I hate to burst her bubble...) and my dad... well, he is easily amused. That and my brother look up to me (or rather I look up to him, he is 6'2" and I am a measely 5'5"). That and the fact that I have been into computers since I was 10 helps too. Also, the money. Money helps.
Not Exactly. I was looking for the panel part. You know, the part that is in the wall that you connect the wire to. There are wires on the back and I Have no idea how to wire the back. There is a blue, white, orange, red, yellow, brown, green and black wires. All of these wires are a solid colors too. I do not know how to wire it.
Here is what the back of the panel looks like.

Demonic Company... well, I don't work for one of those, but the students can be hell sometimes. And I'm just the technie!
Don't get me wrong, I like kids as much as the next person, it is just that I am in a Middle school... the purgatory of all schools. I mean you have the elementry, which those kids are just comming into learning, then there is the intermediate, that is just where the kids now know that there is a school and don't like it. I am in the middle of all the hatered that is pointed towards school and all that is not good. Hisgh school is a different story. They are so close to the end it is not funny. So, yeah demonic kids... ugh

I know that the problem seems simple, but let me rephrase it.
It was a working computer. No one had done anything to it (or so I am told).A teacher went in to turn it on and it was just powered on for the entire day, no boot. Not even a POST. It just idles. I know that no one has been in it because I am the only one that can get into the computers and I had not touched that computer in a LONG time.
Okay, new set of problems:
Computer will not boot. It will power on.
There are two lights on the front: power and computer activity
They both come on when the power is turned on. I have fixed this before, but I don't remember how.
Any one help me?
I have a computer that will boot up. But when it's supposed to go to Windows (i.e. the begining where you have to log on) it will not show up on the screen. It will show the boot stuff, but after that, NADA
I have already tested this on 2 different monitors and no success.
Ideas?
