Hi Vulcanity,

A friend of mine had a similar issue running a direct line from their ISP modem to their computer. The ISP modem locked to the MAC address of the first machine that connected to it.

Try pulling the power from the ISP modem, wait 5 minutes and then plug it back in

Had the same problem with the AHCI when I installed Windows 7 on my machine, not an obvious problem to fix

Hey nerdthon,

There really isn't a need for it, mine is blank.

An example of what you would need it for would be if you had a script you wanted to be able to run from a console that was located in C:\scripts called rename.bat, you would put C:\scripts in the PATH variable and typing rename.bat in the console would run the script as it would know where it was located from the PATH variable.

Hope this helps

Very fun :)

Well, our economy is doing very well and I read somewhere that the US is paying something like 13 billion a day to run the war which has a lot to do with it

It's a Half-Life 2 mod
TFC stands for Team Fortress Classic

It's so much fun :D

Server is down right now because I am going some network maintenance and putting it on the gig switch

If so, checkout my server

192.219.17.99:27015

I have the latest custom maps around and sv_downloadurl setup so download is 20 times faster than downloading from the server

Comment/Questions welcome

Enjoy :)

Hey getrid,

You don't have to do it from the desktop every time now, just the one time to make the fix of always opening with Word. Now you can open them from the email itself :)

Well, I clicked on your profile, did a "view all posts by davem48" and found where you posted about the thumbnails

http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread87707.html

But I don't see anyone replying in that thread which leads me to believe he sent you a privet message.

If you scroll to the very top of the page while logged in, you'll see "Welcome davem48"
To the left of that, you'll see Control Panel. Click Control Panel and on the next screen, scroll down and look on the left for "Privet Messages" under there, list "List all messages"

Hope this helps

I use tasks a lot also, and love the new sub task feature.

This is where I found out how to do it:

No problem :)

Hi Klyde,

Do you have a MS Exchange server to connect to? If you are using the email address from your ISP (POP3) you do not need to setup a MS Exchange mailbox.

Diso's suggestion of process of elimination is a good way to go
My money is on the mobo though... Would you be able to try your PSU in the other machine you tried the parts in, just to get that out of the puzzle?

CodyH 0 Light Poster

Did you notice if the CPU fan is spinning?
Wonder if it could be over heating...

CodyH 0 Light Poster

Is there an LED on the mobo?
If so, when you plug the PSU into it, does the LED come on?

CodyH 0 Light Poster

No problem
Let me know if this solves your problem :)

I am guessing this email is from your ISP
I would try giving them a call and making sure the username and password are correct. When I switched ISPs about 2 years ago, they gave me the wrong password (typo on their end)

Hi getrid,

Save the attachment to your desktop, right click the file, select open with..., highlight Microsoft Word and then at the bottom of the box select "Always user this program"
Voila :)

The only solution I know of when seeing this is to insert the install disk :(
This probably started happening after you installed some updates correct?

Hi,

What type of Email service are you using? (POP3, HTTP, MS Exchange)
When you enter the password the first time, does Outlook work during those 5 minutes?

Have you checked http://office.microsoft.com to make sure all of the updates have been done?

I hate the system startup freeze :(

I have seen network cards do this. You can try disabling your network card and rebooting. If that doesn't work, try going into device manager (Right click Computer > Manager > Device Manager) and expand Network Adapters. Right click on your NIC and select Uninstall and then reboot.

Vista will reinstall the NIC, but I suggest downloading the driver for your NIC before hand (just in case). If you let me know what is listed for your NIC, I will provide you with a link to download the driver :)

Could be spyware...
What browser are you using?
Have you tried changing the default site the browser loads when launching it?

Let me know and I will give you a few tools to run.

CodyH 0 Light Poster

Hmm... Interesting...

What version of Outlook is this?
What kind of connector are you using? (Exchange, Novell etc.)

Hey russey
You can check out this site:

http://apcma
g.com/5023/dual_booting_xp_with_vista

This is if you already have XP Media Center installed. There is another link on the site if you are trying to do it the opposite way (Vista installed with dual boot for XP)

Have fun :)
