Given the code ran fine on an online c++ IDE and compiler I'll have to have a better explanation of what the issue is.

I used a C++ online compiler and it didn't like the stray single quote on line 30 but for the number ten it did something.
Could you have a compiler setup issue instead?

So you need to make a support ticket or bug report.

I can't help you because there is no error message. "Install failed..." is not enough to work with. Out of the 3 options you wrote, only one came close to what the website noted (item 2.)

Ingmar_1 commented: Yes, it's frustrating the message is vague, but thanks for helping. +0

https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.Web.WebView2 has SIX install options. Each one has it's own command line.

Let me be clear. If you are not following their directions, I don't expect it to work.

rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

Doesn't that break security if you store your own fingerprint information?
I'm reading https://source.android.com/docs/security/features/biometric since it's a good project and primer on Android Biometrics.

biometric HAL guidelines to ensure that biometric data is not leaked and is removed when a user is removed from a device:

At first reading of your subject it appears you are attempting to break the basic security system.

Toro_1 commented: You mean, we should boot our phone before storing fingerprint id in external database? +0
rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

"Install failed" is not an error message. Also, which of the SIX command lines did you try? And did you elevate this install to run as Administrator?

There's too many install failures possible without you or the installer giving up a real error message.

But do read and try what's noted at https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge/WebView2Feedback/issues/2030 in case that's it.

Ingmar_1 commented: I don't know which 6 commands you mean. +0
rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

I looked at the SIX install methods and not one mentioned using the "manage nuget packages" method. Try it per the web site instructions next time.

Ingmar_1 commented: I downloaded the package from the nuget site but when I install it manually I get the same error. +0
rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

First, no. I don't use this one but there's a nugget at https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.Web.WebView2 "The WebView2 control enables you to embed web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in your native applications powered by Microsoft Edge (Chromium)."

I'd be sure my HTML, WWW and other references all are default to Edge for now. I lost a day chasing something similar with an Outlook add-on.

Also there are about 6 different install methods. I can guess which one you tried.

Ingmar_1 commented: I installed it via "manage nuget packages" in visual studio, I tried both the latest stable and pre-release versions but to no avail. +0

It's now 2 years since we permanently shuttered our last VB6 projects. The cost to develop was climbing as fewer and fewer programmers were available and then the final blow was the client thought the ongoing maintenance costs to be too high.

Given this, it's time to move to a newer Visual Basic so you can get help if you can't find it on the web.

OR try Fiverr.com and outsource the work.

rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

Given the tag Windows-9x it seems unlikely there are many folk left running that old a version of Access. I certainly would have no hope of trying anything or testing any ideas today.

Is there a chance you can move to something current?
If so, here's a tutorial that looks relevant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehAMOjkiuag

rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

Frankly, this omits all the other details needed to craft said routines in assembly. The target system is unspecified and one might divine it's for some pre-EUFI 80x86 machine but with the changes in PCs and I might only have an Apple M2 computer, I would find this difficult to implement.

I see Reverend Jim has noted the other issue with your post so I'll add these:

  1. Show your work.
  2. Tell where you are stuck.
  3. As noted, for assembler work, the target must be known.

If you can find a Fiddle to share the problem example, even better since not everyone will have an assembler installed.

Thanks for clarification. Before we can proceed, there is no builtin API to C to get at MySQL directly so the First Order Of Business would be to find a library to help us connect and use MySQL from C.

From there we might make some progress.

How about https://zetcode.com/db/mysqlc/ ? First hit on Google and seems to be a good enough tutorial.

However this won't be all we need to know because we'll have to get MySQL installed, running and maybe some MySQL management tool. This is a personal choice so I'd start with https://www.tecmint.com/mysql-gui-tools-for-linux/

I have deep doubt that the changes were for "change in revenue model".

At first I did some hope as Elon did speak about how WeChat had a pay with app feature. Paypal memories?

As to advertisers, it was clear from months ago that if he bought, car makers could jump ship as well, a bit too obvious.

Changes? It's been a dumpster fire and now more dumpsters on fire. Today folk are posting full movies since the auto-moderation system was shutdown. DMCA takedown notices are now in the thousands from a word from a disgruntled employee. All this makes who's left to just manually plug away at the deluge of DMCA requests.

When I wrote a month, it appears this may have been too generous. It's going down in weeks.

It's Friday. And Twitter employees are having trouble finding who their supervisor is since so many have resigned. From NYTIMES:

Employees were also having difficulties figuring out who was still on staff, and what areas of infrastructure needed more support to keep things up and running.

Still getting daily emails from the Twitter machine. But they are pretty risque to outright hard porn now. Employees and former employees don't seem to be holding back inside information, stories, emails, tweets and more.

I wouldn't be surprised for Twitter to go 404 soon.

So Musk put up a little more than 15 billion USD and the rest is debt against the company and from investors that took shares in the company. So Musk is fine even if Twitter goes bankrupt.

The employees and shareholders are going to take the brunt of this possible collapse.

I've used Visual Studio since about 1995. I took a look at VS Code and it fell short of the full Visio Studio so let's say you're right. Next stop is Microsoft themselves. But here's an idea. Sometimes I found I had to set the default associations of say html, htm and more back to stock. Didn't get to use Chrome. It had to be just as Microsoft set these on a clean install. Change the default browser to Chrome and debug broke. Such fun. But then again I had the full Visual Studio.

I think I need to add this: I won't setup a dev system to debug your issue. I will share what I ran into and what concerns I see.

Paranoia is part of dictatorships.

-> At first I thought there was some hope as Elon talked and then not about becoming more like WeChat. I don't know what you know about WeChat but it's quite the heavyweight elsewhere because people use it to buy things at the store and more. If only Elon had stuck to that as a new feature. History note: Elon's first hit was Paypal with a 1.5 billion dollar sale to Ebay in 2002.

Seems it's going to be a "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" or worse story now.

The question was how Warren was able to manage companies with such a wide set of goals and disciplines. The recent debacle at Twitter is not COVID related. It's Elon and soon after the purchase I immediately wondered if car makers would advertise on the Twitter platform. This was easy to see coming.

Since Elon has control over SpaceX, SpaceX bought a rather large ad package from Twitter. If the FTC and feds weren't paying attention before, they are now.

Small world. We had two of those models at the insurance office and one of them the WiFi module failed. So at this point it's either:

  1. Drivers. I doubt this model has Windows 11 drivers so try the last driver HP offered.
  2. The WiFi card is dead or unsupported. For the office we replaced the card but for a quick fix we plugged in a USB WiFi adapter so the employee could finish their day and we fixed it later that day with a new card.

Elon Musk did impact social media marketing in a huge way. And the story isn't over as the list of those that market on Twitter haven't come back.

Beyond that: "Sorry, but the SQL server is an SQL server, not a calculator." This means that numbers going in and out of the database will have to be managed to fit what MySQL offers.

I don't see anything new here. To me it's all about your app dynamically adjusting to screen size, aspect ratio and rotation. All this should be part of your app or web design now. A folding display does not add anything new to the development cycle EXCEPT getting example devices into the add or web developer's hands for them to support.

One big problem. No one today would write that in any of the languages you listed. It would be web based with the usual backend and the frontend being a web browser. You might have to support smartphones too.

📝 I can provide ideas and write engaging content for blogs
📣 I can generate creative, catchy copies for social media

When I looked at rewriter I also took time to look at the new AI/ML writers. I think you may need to up your game.

As to spammer use, I can see that but sure, maybe it's for students too. That is, we know that teachers now run plagiarism checks so I would also guess this is an attempt to work around that. We all know students that have tried to pass off passages from Wikipedia as their own work.
So I'm still guessing what rewriter's market is as well as how well that stands up to today's newer AI writers. As to backlinks, don't those break over time and you have to continually work at that?

rproffitt 2,701 https://5calls.org Moderator

This IS why we must understand computer number formats and along that the limitations. As RJ and jwenting specifically pointed out that banks and such consider so many digits.

You wrote "So is it unsolved in php?" but did you:

  1. Implement BIGNUM.
  2. Scale your numbers.

Maybe you don't know what or how to scale your numbers.

Let's take US Currency. I can only give you a penny and nothing less in a physical transaction. So to avoid issues in Accounting. Wait, let me share I was one of many that authored accounting apps decades ago on dBase II. OK it's number formats are on the web at https://www.promotic.eu/en/pmdoc/Subsystems/Db/dBase/DataTypes.htm so that was at the time 16 digits or 1 quadrillion. So that number was large enough to notate most countries total currency to the penny without a decimal point.

Point: The entire system was set to compute down to the penny. When you would display or print you would use a function to format the output. This is just one example of scaling.

'3. For the number 0.000000000000000000075 did you try using scientific notation? (7.5e-20)

There are solutions.
