ya, people dont usually get angry unless you make them. Some do for stupid reasons.....but.......If most women in your life get mad at you, then your obivously doing something wrong.
Show women respect and appreciation and the world will be yours.

Actually I have only had one women get mad at me and that was my mother. She was mad because I left home to join the military.

techbound 35 Junior Poster

That's probably because you were a jerk.

Lol nooo....;) i have never made my woman of five years angry. you silly goose.

techbound 35 Junior Poster

i've always been able to look past the color of hair, but I do have to admit that regardless of the color of hair color, they all get angry the same and take away what you value the most ;)

techbound 35 Junior Poster

Maybe yes. Most folks with undercover status normally like to hint to the fact that they might be undercover. :)

"New Poster, New Thread, Poof gone" Group"

I've noticed many new threads from new posters (normally have 1 post on their profile) add the thread and then "poof: they are gone" no more posts/threads from that poster.

This personally doesn't bother me but I've noticed all of the "unanswered threads" are from the "New Poster, New Thread, Poof gone" group.

In the meantime I will keep noticing. Have a great day :)

heya krisit, welcome.

As for the computer problem.

1st disble all add-ons under the "Manage Add-ons" as follows: Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Add-Ons. Doing this should require a restart but for good measure do it anyway. Once logged back in verify you have a signal. Then attempt to launch Yahoo Messenger. You should get an error at this point due to the fact that you disabled the add-ons. After you find out what the error says, go back to the add-ons and enable the particular add-on that was mentioned in the error. Then re-attempt yahoo messenger.

2nd Measure to take. If the above fails. Have your friend execute a system restore. Perferably to a point that he remembers that everything was "fine".

Good luck.

Hi, i would like to know what cisco routers and switches to buy for the purpose of:

a) Setting up a home lab. (This will allow me to get the hands on expierence that i need)

b) Helping pass the ccna exam. (hopefully with a high score)

c) and perhaps working for a company. (not sure what company yet)

I have been doing some research (mainly on this site) and have come to the conclusion that my options are not limited to a particular cisco router. Some routers are dated and some are just way to expensive. Passing the exam (ive been told) can be done without the lab, but that is not the route i want to take. As for working for a company, I really wont know if this will be even possible because most employers want expierence and it would be so sad to find out that no one is using the 25xx's anymore.

I have the want, the desire and now i need a good path to take.

Looks like they had a good 1st Quarter according to their report. Which probably doesnt directly tie in to the 90 pt rise but could be closley related.

Here is the Google 1st Quarter announcement: http://investor.google.com/releases/2008Q1.html

IMO degrees lets the employers know that you are committed to higher education and are trainable. They want to get bang for their buck when they send you to their training folks. You don't ever want to mislead anyone especially an emplyer or you will be going no where fast.

we have no commercial adverts on BBC, so we get mostly uninterrupted viewing, but we have to pay for a TV licence to watch TV :(

yay to no commericals! Having said that I love commericals that are a prelude to something big. They have a long timeline and when the final ad is finally featured I am usually dissapointed with the product/service.

Actually, i get these random thoughts that seem to spike my interest and the spike usually stays up longer than the thought itself. My version of a layer dessert is an oreo cookie, so definetly the middle first ;) I have to admit that I have never tried the "smoosh".

Toda after lunch I ordered a bowl of vanilla ice cream with caramel and at the last second I added a cherry on top. I know I know that is kind of edgy but I had too. So I get to my office and I see the cherry and I ask myself "should I eat it first or should I take a couple of bites of the ice cream or should I wait until the end?"

Am I the only person who asks this question or are others that do it to?

hey there
There is files on the hd that needs to be included in the installation as the previous poster was saying.
Heres a shortcut to what you can do without having to search the files:
--------------------->This implies only if you backed up your data,or the data on the hd is of no importance to you>---------------------

-Format your HD in another machine
-BOOT from a xp disk

It should work fine

cheers

my expierence with anything "free website" is that you will have ads on your page and you will always have the host name prior to your name. granted your domain and hosting is free. i DO NOT promote any of these sites but they advertise free websites:

geocities.yahoo.com
tripod.lycos.com

anyhow, dpeneding on what your trying to achieve those might work. They are usually restrictive to the amount of data transfer you can do, limit email accounts and other features that you would get with a paid website.

I am unsure of the author because it didnt state it, but anyway here it is.

The Sailor's Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, the ship was out steaming,
Sailors stood watch while others were dreaming.

They lived in a crowd with racks tight and small,
In a 80-man berthing, cramped one and all.

I had come down the stack with presents to give,
And to see inside just who might perhaps live.

I looked all about, a strange sight did I see,
No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.

No stockings were hung, shined boots close at hand,
On the bulkhead hung pictures of a far distant land.

They had medals and badges and awards of all kind,
And a sober thought came into my mind.

For this place was different, so dark and so dreary,
I had found the house of a Sailor, once I saw clearly.

A Sailor lay sleeping, silent and alone,
Curled up in a rack and dreaming of home.

The face was so gentle, the room squared away,
This was the United States Sailor today.

This was the hero I saw on TV,
Defending our country so we could be free.

I realized the families that I would visit this night,
Owed their lives to these Sailors lay willing to fight.

Soon round the world, the children would play,

Nope, but I can tell you that you really should trust your wife a bit more, and be a lot less paranoid or the relationship is likely to take a nose-dive. Especially if your wife is using this site as she will be able to see you are asking these questions about her if she reads this forum...

I believe its a method to transfer information across a network kind of like TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). To take a look at your Network Connections under My Computer and then right click on one of your LAN or High Speed Internet connection. Dont change any setting but just take a look and you will see that your TCP/IP is grouped with Client for Microsoft Networks, Files and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, QoS Packet Scheduler and TCP/IP.

Your boot cd was probably written to be dependent on files already in the hard drive (emulation boot). If this is the case, you need a boot disk that does not need files on the hard drive and can execute inpdependently (no emulation booting). If this wont be possible you might want to find out what files it needs so it can work and then get those files into your hard drive. In theory this should work.

heya, are you upgrading from me or 2000?
Does your laptop meet the min system requirments for xp?

techbound 35 Junior Poster

"When the drive is first seen by Disk Management it will not be seen in Windows Explorer. For the drive to be seen in Windows Explorer the drive will need to be configured through Disk Management. Vista or XP will normally see the unpartitioned drive when you open Disk Management and will start the wizard for you." Directly from Seagate.com

Here is the link for getting your issue resolved. Assuming you have xp or vista. If not they have same solutions for 2000 and me.

Have fun

why is it that al my Things stop working on me out of no where.
-Alarm doesn't go off in the morning
-cell phone is laggy
-laptop does random shut down
-printer chopped my papers head off and i didn't notice till it was due
-xbox froze
-toothbrush still works though

Anyone else feel like they need some life IT support today? well at least my bed isn't digital because i gotta hit the sack

-Alarm doesn't go off in the morning. Possible cause might be that the on/off switch for the alarm control might be making contact with other wires causing it malfunction. Recommend you take it apart and put electrical tape around it. You can usually find that kind of tape laying around the garage or you can ask a friend.

-cell phone is laggy. Possible cause for lag is either the signal tower is not getting updated along with the rest of the network or your cell phone buttons might not be making full contact with the circuit board. Recommend you contact your service provider and ask them if your cell phone is lacking updates. Doing this usually gets you in the door to the techs which will then further trouble shoot your cell phone.

-laptop does random shut down. Possible cause might be caused by dust building up in your computer, causing your fan to clog making it work less and eventually causing your computer to shut down. …
