yeah msn is probbaly going to be the new thing. I think that which ever engine (google or msn) comes out with some of the services that yahoo offers like geocities then they will come out on top

there is a distro of linux called basic linux that is really similiar to dos and it runs off of a floppy disk. The smallest most complex os i have seen is the live cd version of slax linux wich can fit onto a mini disc or a flash drive

what is the best free boot manager for selecting multiple Oses. I had installed linux and then lost it because i had to install windows over it again. But now i have no boot manager so what would you say is the best free one i tried osl2000 or something like that but it didn't work.
when i start my computer instead of the normal welcome screen coming up the classic mode type login comes up (similiar to windows 2000). I tried to change it by going to the control panel selecting user accounts and selecting change the way users logon and logoff. when i do this a message saying "Class factory cannot supply requested class." comes up, and I cant change my settings. How do u get past this error.
i am getting those ads by google on my site, they tell you that it is a cost per click setup but they don't tell you how much you get paid every click all i know so far is that if you make over $100 they send you a check at the end of the month.
my friend has a really crappy computer that he has messed up even more so yesterday i said i would help him reinstall everything. The problem was he didn't have the discs all he had was this crappy hp tools program that does a system recovery. I did that and it did everuthing but now when you restart it says that setup is not complete and it will start again only thing is it doesn't the computer just restarts and the error message appears again. The only xp cd i have is for a dell could i just use that to do a clean install on his system.

openoffice.org is a free office application for almost all operating systems. It features word processing, spreadsheets, powerpoint, html editor. I like openoffice.org and have used it before on windows. (most linux distros come with this preinstalled or can be chosen to be installed in config).
The gimp is a free image editing programs it can do a lot of things that fireworks and photoshop can do but personally i like fireworks better. This program also comes with most linux distrubutions.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exe looks sort of like a virus i would have your antivirus program check it out before deleting it.
you might want to take some things off your startup list. you can do this by going to start--> run type msconfig and then click on the startup list tab. here you can see every program that startsup with windows and you can disable them. i am saying this because it looks like you have a ton of programs starting up.'
besides that one i dont see anything. you should do an ad-aware scan, and a spybot s&d scan just to be safe.
for your first question this will probably help you out. You dont need to uninstall windows to use linux simply setup a dual boot. In a dual boot you can select which operating system to boot usually they have a setup in it when you install linux.
