i have no idea you will have to wait for someone more knowlegable to come along, but i will give u my opinion on one thing i absolutley hate symantec and norton it is like hiring an army when all you need is a gun. Look at ur hjt log it is full wit all these extras and stuff, being smart about wat you do on the internet is the only real defense you need.

are you trying to burn a dvd or watch a burnt dvd.

this would apply if you are trying to burn a dvd im not sure if it does to watching one unless it is the same drive. make sure the format of the dvd recordable is the same as your computers drive, there is dvd+r and dvd-r and dvd burners are either one of them or both. it usually says on the face of the drive.

you go into your router admin page usually something like 192.168.1.xxx the last numbers are usually either 1, 101, or 100 i dont know how you find it. Once you have that, you have to login to the router admin page, default router pass is username: admin, password:admin, you will probably know wat yours is. now im not sure for your router but i have a linksys you click on the tab that says applications and gaming, now on other routers it is probably a similiar name just browse until you find port forwarding.

Now there should be a table that has like: application, port range start, port range end, protocol, ip adress, enabled

now for the application give it w/e name u want, but like something u want to remember that it belongs to that app. now in the port range u put the ports you want to open, then for protocol select both tcp and udp, and then the ip adress should already be filled out, then just check enable d and click save settings at the bottom of the page. i use port triggering too, which is similiar and seems to have more results. For that just select the port triggering tab and then just enter the app name, the port range and then repeat the port range.

It is a terrible idea, it does provide cheap relative high speeds, but from most articles about it talk about how it disrupts most radio/tv and other such signals. If everyone has this then there will be no radio, and im not gonna give up that because some person cant afford dsl, lol. Just get dsl or cable besieds from the article above it isnt even that cheap.

first you have to put hijackthis on a permanent folder on your hard drive, you can run it ouf a zip file or of the internet. Right now i dont see nething seriously wrong try rescanning after you put it on ur hard drive.

umm for bandwidth i think you should call ur internet service provider, u are gonna want a lot of it for a good server or else ur server is gonna shut down a lot cuz games take a lot of bandwidth and the comp sounds good. i have no idea how much bandwidth cost but it will prob be expensive.

you need the driver for it, most hardware shoudl come with it, if you install the specidic hardware software and it doesnt work you should find the hp driver cd and reinstall that.

well ok first you need the game server software which usually comes with the game. like counter-strike and wat not has a dedicated server on steam. a lot of games also have server software you can download. then u need a computer, if you want to have a good server you want a good computer to run this stuff. and you can set how many ppl can join the server through the game software.

dreamweaver cant create this stuff you should not rely on wat dreamweaver can do. use vbulletin which is wat this is, but it cost some money.

windows media player should be able to play it fine, there are specially made players for vcds though that you could try.

do you know wat sound codec the vcd is using, if you dont have the sound codec you should downloaded it, considering it is a vcd meant to be played back like a dvd it is probably using ac3 codec.

you want to go wireless on dial up? why you should probably get broadband i cant see wireless dial up being very fast at all considering how slow regular dial up is. then wat you need is a modem, wireless router and wireless reciever like a network card for the laptop, then all you need to do is make sure this all set up right is install the software drivers and you should be good to go.

wires can transfer 100 mbps why wouldnt you want that if you new how to wire stuff.

well in some random pc magazine had an article on this card and they mentioned hsi which i had never heard of and i dunno the way the explained made it sound like the card could be used in pci or agp instead of just either or which doesnt really make sense, i think they made it up.

pci-express is better, main feature it is a faster connection it is 16x where agp is like 4 or 8. I have recently seen a lot of ppl having trouble with the 6600 gt for some reason, i do not have it myself. i would say if you want to get a card that expensive you might as well just get a 6800 or even 7800 if you really have the cash. now the 7800 only comes with pci-express or at least the BFG version so if you dont have those slots you need a new mobo i have found a combo pack of a evga 7800 GTx Oc that includes and nvidia evga motherboard for about $550 or so. The only problem is it is amd not intel and you have an intel processor. So in that case i would just get the 6800 it is better than the 6600 and seems more reliable, and to use it you wouldnt have to upgrade your system unless you want to go pci-express to keep up with the times.

try searching around http://newegg.com i dont know if you can get it overseas but you can find other cards for less money those cards arent the greatest you can do for that sortof cash.

are you sure you got the card for the right port i think this card is both agp and pci-e. It could also be because this card was oddly designed to work in either slot(or at least that is wat i gather from this HSI thing it uses) but i am not sure how this works.

i am pretty sure it is not possible to do with the current technology in desktop computers, mainly cuz this would involve scaning the actaul hard disk which somehow i dont think a program will be able to do. you can just look at your harddrive. if you can get to your operating system i would say the hd is fine, plus i dont see how ne objects could scratch it. i use diskeeper pro to keep my harddrive in shape but that is just defragmenting no actual like checking of the hd's physical condition.

It seems like you went a little too far just because you were having trouble with your video card. I dont really see why the new card wouldnt work your system seems capable enough to handle it.

Well we could argue on for days about the pros and cons of each, but mainly i will just say that overclocking is the not the best solution to getting more power.

Umm dont overclock it, overclocking can result in performance increases but it can also fry your card. Buy more system memory or mb you do not have the processing speed for the games. But in my experience Ati=crap, buy a BFG Nvidia card like a 6800 or if you have the money and the pci-e slot buy a 7800GTx, most BFG nvidia cards come overclocked out of the box. Notice that i am recommending BFG nvidia, nvidia products are sold by many companies but not all of them are that great, I like BFG the best there are also other companies that are pretty good i think Digitek is also good.

i dunno wat you think dreamweaver is, but you will need to use html to use it. No matter how much a program can do for you you still want to know how to write html. Dreamweaver i use more for like setting up photoshop layouts and then I write the html for it using the split so i can see wat i do on my layout when i am done coding.

Ok i have a Hp Officejet 6210 All-in-One (Printer, Scanner, Fax, Xerox, Camera dock) and it is hooked up to an upgraded Dell dimension 8300. I installed the driver and all the steps completed so there were no problems during the driver installation, but only the printer function works (besides the fax and the xerox which dont go through the computer, i havent tried the digital camera dock yet either). So it wont let me scan things onto my computer only print off of it. Is there a solution to this or a driver fix that is available.

i dont really know if any software has that as a listed feature but i use nero and like it i dont know if they make it for mac, but really all you need to do is make a dvd with a menu that has all the episodes listed on it. For really sophisticated menus i use encore and after effects they seem to work out for making animated menus and such.

what type of wireless is it, i am not that familiar with wireless connections (wires are faster and not that hard to snake if you have electrical experience) but i am pretty sure that wireless b is reallt bad, so if you are using that i would upgrade. if you have g or something better than you might have a bad card on the other computer. if no one else can come up with some better suggestions there are wireless signal boosters that you can get for like $30-50 or so, other than that my only other opinion is go wired, 30 feet is pretty close so if you want a faster more reliable connection i would go out and buy a different router and about 100 ft of ethernet cable.

wait are you using ftp. to connect or ftp:// because it is ftp. , also wat port are you using to connect common ftp ports are usually 20 or 21, if you want most routers have options to forward these ports so you can read up on that if you find no other solution. It could also be the client, i have found that some ftp clients are not very user friendly, i like filezilla because it is free and simple. If for some reason you have some extreme firewall then you can check those settings because you might have told it to block your ftp client (some firewalls like norton are hardcore and do that to a lot of programs that is why i think it is crap). Well those are just some ideas i can think of right now so i would check that stuff out and get back once you fool around with your settings a bit.

yes limewire will let you send files over the same network and it even plugs into itunes so if you have limewire and itunes on at the same time you can listen to the other computers songs. there are also programs like mytunes or ourtunes (something like that search around you can find them) that let you download peoples songs from itunes if the computers are on the same network (college people use it all the time cuz the networks are massive and it is harder to track than regular p2p). About the dvd i dont really know much about burning on macs but if they make a mac version of nero i would try that and i think there is a setting that does not verify dvd content. But if you are getting an error that says the files are not verified than one of the files is probably corrupted.

yeah the easycleaner or w/e (you really should not mess with registry unless you know what to do yourself dont trust programs) could of recoginized some sortof ethernet/modem drivers as malicious cuz they probably had some weird name and so it deleted them. if you have the software drivers on a cd i would try and reinstall it, if not or if that doesnt work i would see if you have a restore point to the day before this happened and i would restore your system to there.

someone could of set that site as a restricted site or if you changed your IE security settings that could do it automatically, mainly cuz IE sucks but other than that i have no idea except that they could have banned you.
