I have installed oracle client 10.2g and I have used it with MS visual studio for a few days and it worked just fine.

Yesterday I started to receive this message whenever I try to log in into 'localhost'

System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.

I've searched all over the internet and this topic has beed discussed numerous of tiems but all attempts failed to solve the problem.

Can anyone help me ? I don't know what do anymore. :(

jsut try to uninstall and install the client once and test what happens.
