Can anybody tell me, what should I learn in order to make Windows mode graphics through APIs and DLLs?

OpenGL? DirectX? Or anything else?

Please help this lost sheep!

I made a research on my own question, and I found out some information on web page of Microsoft, at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp.

I think DirectX is enough for a beginner.

I think there must be someone who knows about this topic.
Please gimme some more info.
