Hello all. I am having an issue with the dual NIC's on my Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5. I'll start from the beginning to give as much info as possible. I had Server 2008 R2 installed and was given a copy of Server 2012 R2. Both NIC's were present in 2008 and were still available when I upgraded with 2012 R2. The other day, I registered a domain to do some work with Exchange 2013 and email addresses. Therefore, I changed the name of the domain to the name of the .com domain I registered. While using the rendom method, I ran into …

I am new to the edgerouter and I know zero CLI which is hurting me quite a bit right now because I do not understand most of this, so here goes. I am running an Edgerouter ERLite running 1.6.0 FW and I have 2 modems from the cable company each putting out 50X5 dynamic plugged into eth0 and eth1. eth2 is the lan at 10.0.0.1/8. I ran the load balance wizard and I am online, but only through eth0. eth1 is only running a couple of kbps if at all. I did set up load balance and failover on PFSense …

I have ATT U-verse i-net runnung a 3800HGV-B. I would like to run my SOHO thru my linksys 160N router. I've read numerous articles about how this can be done, but this 3800 has put a hex on me. Has anyone done this successfully, AND, do you have a clearcut How-To? Do I use DMZ or port forwarding, or am I overthinking this thing... I don't want to screw up a G network that is running just fine now, but the jump to N would be cool. Thx.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, running Windows 7. It has the Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Graphics chip, Driver version 6.14.10.4609. I want to run 2 external monitors from it, sending the laptop display to monitor 1. I have it hooked up now to one external monitor as monitor 2, using the VGA output to VGA input of the monitor. I am also using it as the extended desktop. Can anyone help me run 2 external, separate displays? Thanks! Chris

Pros: HARDCORE COVERAGE! Easy installation Lots of options dual band USB sharing 4 guest networks per band fast nice setup menus that look good and easy to navigate lots of security support connections are solid Cons: only thing is lack of print server, other than that it's perfect. Other Thoughts: This AMPED WIRELESS! access point has hardcore coverage!! I can stream a youtube vid from 150 ft away from the AP (outside down the road) with not much effort. That alone makes it worth it. Also this is good for xbox live gaming as well... worked just as good as …

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: Two computers - the first is a home desktop that has USB and PS2 hook-ups. The second is a laptop with a docking station that only has usb hook ups. I'd like to have share the same mouse, keyboard, two monitors, printer and speakers between the two computers. I've figured that part out BUT what I want to know is if there is a way to get what I really really want which is to that same setup BUT with three monitors and somehow have my laptop and phones be able to send to …

Hi there, I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but I am currently working with an HPC machine for business use and it is currently running Ubuntu 11.04 (I have yet to update due to software incompatibilities). Anyways, some of the users would prefer to be working within a Windows environment and other in a Linux environment. I found that my best solution would be to dual-boot Windows and Ubuntu, but when looking further into that process, I found that it's not the easiest task as Windows likes to overwrite the Linux boot manager making …

This it only for people who are running a DUAL Monitor system. I wrote a sample program to display what occurs. No matter which button I click on (Primary Display OR Secondary Display), the JOptionPane will pop up on the Primary Display. What I would like to happen is... If I click on the button on the Primary Display, pop up JOptionPane on the Primary Display. If I click on the button on the Secondary Display, pop up the JOptionPane on the Secondary Display (instead of the Primary Display). 1. How can I get the JOptionPane to pop up on …

I am having a problem in Delphi with the use of multiple monitors. My application consists of a main form, with several different kinds of child forms. If I started running my application (not from Delphi – the executable), and I then enable a second monitor, and then move from one type of child form to another, my application would immediately crash. The same thing happens if I have started my application with two monitors enabled, and then disable the secondary monitor. I don’t get this behavior if I enable or disable the secondary monitor before starting my application – …

I tried to search DaniWeb for something on this that may have been addressed already, but did not find it. I have XP Pro 32-bit running now. I upgraded MB and CPU/RAM. I have bought Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and want to dual boot it with XP. I know there is the XP mode that I can mess with, but until I am comfortable with Win 7 and can use XP mode for a few programs, I will need to dual boot. I wonder if any IT pro has a migration list (or the like) that I can consider all …

Hi everyone. So I have your average Windows XP emachines PC. Just a few days ago, I booted and installed Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit on my pc, to make it dual booted. I just wanted to see what ubuntu was like. Pretty nifty, nice graphics, etc. So I go to uninstall it (from XP): C:\Ubuntu\Ubuntu-uninstall.exe or whatever the dir is. I run it, and then It tells me that Ubuntu is uninstalled. Great! I reboot my pc, but then it tells me from BIOS that I have two operating systems to choose from: Microsoft Windows XP home edition, and Ubuntu. It …

Is there a way to fake a dual monitor for testing. I have only one monitor and I have to make an application that is suitable for two monitors. The second monitor screen should appear as a window on my primairy monitor. I am currently working on a Windows XP machine.

Hi, I am trying to set up a strange network configuration. Basically I have a wireless network from a BTHomeHub covering my house but I have a few devices that need an Ethernet connection and I don't like the idea of wires trailing though the house (The HomeHub only has two Ethernet ports anyway which are both taken up). My idea was to connect a Belkin 54G Wireless router to the network and then use this as an Ethernet hub for my wired devices. Is this even possible? If it is either direction to a good website showing me how …

The DVD format war continues, with neither side determined to give up. So who seems to be winning now? Well, this article seems to claim that Blu-ray is winning, and will soon displace HD-DVD, as were a number of other articles I read in the last few days on the internet. This particular quote stuck out at me:"Within three years it will just be Blu-ray." So says Frank Simonis, the Blu-ray Disc Association's European chairman, at the CeBIT trade show. I find this kind of amusing. Well, I'm not totally saying that Blu-ray is unable to outsell HD-DVD and win …
