My apologies if I missed something like this already. I cannot find anything quite fitting. And this work computer keeps closing this page on me. At home, I have 2 laptops both running Windows 7, a Lexmark wireless printer that worked fine last week. Now it won't print, but it is online. When I checked my control panel on 2 of my laptops, my device list shows 0 devices. My first thought was that I was hacked. I run Avast on both computers. I unplugged my internet and ran a deep scan on both computers while I am at currently …

In this article, we're going to focus on inkless printers - it might sound like black magic, but it's actually quite simple once I explain a few basics. Let's jump in! ## Inkless printers ## You've probably handled something printed by an inkless printer today - they're used in cash machines, petrol pumps, till receipts and National Lottery booths, to name only a few. It appears to be happening to a few of our users, whereby they are connecting via terminal services to a server and none of their printers pass over. HP announced this morning a new printer that’s the first of its kind: the TopShot LaserJet Pro M275. What makes this printer different? The TopShot doesn’t have an ADF, or even a cover to close on a single sheet. Instead, it has an arm across the top that takes digital images of what’s on the bed. The arm contains LED lights and takes six images of any object placed on the scanner. It takes three images with …

Hey all, I work at a small (~120 students/semester) study abroad program and I'm looking to revise my setup of a networked printer. As it stands, we have a very mixed environment (every version and SP of Windows from XP to 7 and Mac OS X 10.4 and up) and students that need to print powerpoints, docs, etc. Right now we have a Kyocera 2020D KX. The main issues are as followed: 1) Driver delivery; it's not ideal to manually install (with the disc) the driver on each of the 120+ student laptops. 2) This likely falls under the driver …
