Which one pours more more a .net developer or a php developer and which is more long lasting. Iam asking this question 2nd time just to be more confident and then go ahead with the suggested one.

go with asp.net; you can take the advantage of full object oriented programming language like C#.Net or VB.Net, you wont bother with html, ccs, or javascript for different browser types. you can drag and drop web controls and begin typing c# in the code behind, and all the rendering issues will be handled by asp.net according to your browser type
