Jump to PostThe old saying the 'content is king' comes into play here. If you have great content on your site and it meets the needs of your niche market, you'd definiteltly have loads of people linking to your website courtesy of Google, etc.

In my own experiences, blogging, blog commenting, forum posting, article submission, press releasing and social bookmarking are all effective for back linking purpose. One thing I would like to mention is that you need to use your main targeted keywords(80%) and their variants(20%) as anchor text. :)
