Hi everyone, I am a video-grapher and there are many occasions where I am called to make a DVD/CD of the program which has to given to a large audience. I am looking to make my business more popular and need to make an impression on the customers and also advertise my business in the same way. Help me to know the ways that will help me to make my business better.

For a gig-based videography business like described, the fastest wins usually come from tightening operations and adding a few easy-to-sell services rather than only chasing more leads. Several members suggested visibility ideas already; build on those by making every job predictable, legally safe, and simple for the client to buy again.

Before the event get a brief written agreement and a signed release that clearly states who can reuse footage. During the event log timecodes and capture a short "backup" angle or ambient audio so edits are easier. After the event produce one verified master and a short, shareable highlights file, then run a quick QC pass (audio levels, color, chapter points, playback on multiple players) before duplicating or delivering. Keeping a numbered archive and one offline backup will save rework and lost-sales later.

Package offerings into clear tiers: a basic master recording, a highlights/edit add-on, rush duplication/delivery, and a long-term archive/metadata option for organizations that need consistent records (schools, churches, businesses). Use simple, itemized pricing so customers can pick upgrades at booking and you avoid surprises. For planning and basic marketing/pricing guidance see the Small Business Administration's marketing primer SBA Marketing & Sales Guide.

Finally, protect yourself and your clients. Always get written permission before using event footage for promotion, and add captions or transcripts for accessibility where appropriate — it widens your market and avoids complaints. The W3C has practical guidance on making audio and video accessible: W3C guidance on accessible audio and video. These operational fixes increase repeat business and make any advertising or promotion far more effective.

I'm not 100% that this is a VB related question...
Can a mod move it to a more appropriate section on the forum? It might help the OP get a better answer.

Offer your business in local forums so that people in your nearby areas could notice your service.

There are many ways that can help you to make your business better. You can place banners or even give ads to make it popular. You can spread it by word of mouth or even adopt other ways. Recently, my friend wanted to make some good name for his venture and he had distributed DVDS with some good case covers and designs that were real good for him. Since, you are a video grapher you can adopt the same ways so that when you have to give multiple CD/DVD for the customers you can have your business name or some other useful information on that.

You must launch your web site......

Why not make a video and upload it to youtube.

Well, I don't know how much you are willing to do. I found an LiveJournal page about . And, like I think someone said, make sure your business name is on the CD/DVD you give out, with a catchy logo or something. A website is helpful too, but it will take time to get traction.
