Saved reports can be more than a convenience — they let you build repeatable, auditable workflows for bookkeeping, performance tracking, and early detection of suspicious activity.

For bookkeeping: create a monthly saved report with the last-month date range and columns for impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, RPM and estimated earnings. Name reports with a consistent pattern (SiteName_Accounting_YYYY-MM) and schedule a CSV or PDF export to an email you control. That replaces manual printing and creates a retained archive for reconciliation and tax records (a point likely useful to @mddv).

For monitoring and fraud detection: save a short, high-frequency report that filters for unusually high CTR or spikes in clicks by URL or ad unit. Schedule it daily and set a simple threshold to trigger manual review. When a spike appears, cross-check with your web analytics for traffic source and IP ranges, temporarily disable the suspect ad unit, and collect the saved-report CSV as evidence if you need to contact AdSense support or file an appeal (relevant for situations like @ht05 raised).

Practical tips and cautions: use clear names and include the time zone in the title; export CSVs rather than relying only on the UI; keep a 6–12 month archive before purging; avoid automated actions based solely on one metric (false positives happen). Community actions like petitions (as @Lightninghawk suggested) are unlikely to help individual account problems — documented logs from saved reports plus a calm, policy-focused appeal are more effective.
