I recently launched a pet webspot...pet owners create their pets a site that can be used for multiple purposes..anything from cyber friends to finding another your pet a mate..
although I have advertised the website in pet pages it seems as if my results are sub-par....

Well what I suggested was all free, which is good for getting started.
I hope Adword and yahoo search both can work, but before that I think he should optimize his site.
