Sir,
I have Andriod QMobile Noir A8, I am facing folder problem as:
I create new folder and put some applications in it.
When I restart my phone then I found that folder empty.
All application can be seen outside that folder.

What should I do to resolve this issue?

Short diagnosis and reliable checks

When apps disappear from a home‑screen folder after a reboot but reappear on the desktop, the launcher has lost its folder metadata or the apps were unavailable when the launcher rebuilt the screen at boot. Two common, verifiable causes are apps placed on the SD card (they are not mounted/available early in boot) and buggy or corrupted launcher/home app data on low‑end or heavily skinned devices.

Steps that resolve this in most cases

  • Confirm storage location: Settings -> Apps (or Applications) -> select one of the affected apps -> check Storage. If an app is on the SD card, move it back to internal/device storage and recreate the folder. Reboot to test persistence; if the folder holds, the SD/mount timing was the cause.
  • Reset launcher data safely: Settings -> Apps -> All -> locate the device launcher (may be listed as Launcher, Home, TouchWiz, etc.). First Clear cache, then recreate the folder and reboot. If the issue persists, Clear data (this will reset the entire home layout — back up by taking screenshots or using a launcher backup tool beforehand).
  • Test an alternate launcher: Install a stable launcher (Nova, Apex or similar) and recreate the folder. If the problem disappears, the stock launcher is at fault.
  • Additional checks: boot into Safe Mode to rule out a third‑party app that modifies icons; check for a firmware/launcher update from the vendor; as a last resort, backup everything and perform a factory reset.

Notes on earlier replies

correctly flagged storage location as relevant; provided basic folder steps. If moving affected apps to internal storage and/or switching launchers fixes the problem, that confirms a launcher/SD interaction rather than user error in creating folders.
