I recently ordered 256 Mb pc2100 ddr sdram (ecc) I went to put it in the machine that I got it for and it doesn't work and I just recently realized that dell machines take non ecc mamory. My question is, is there a way to get this to work like maybe a bois update or something or am I just going to have to get some more ram? The machine is a Dell Dimension 2350.

...You're just going to have to get more RAM. I've never seen any machine's motherboard, including Dells, be able to accept ECC memory by using a BIOS upgrade. Your best bet would be just to return the memory, if possible, and exchange it for non-ECC memory. Or, sell the ECC and buy non-ECC.
