Jump to PostPersonally, the Microsoft Wireless intellimouse explorer works the best. I use the logitech MX700 for my gaming computer, but as far as the laptop goes, this works the best. Small wireless transmiter...good battery life...and no reason for a charging hub or AC power (as with the MX700).

I personally keep a smallish usb mouse in my laptop carry bag, for situations where I like to use one. Why do I think it's the best? Because it cost me $AUD20, because it's light and takes up little space, because it's quick and convenient to plug in and use!
