Hey, I'm just wondering as to what everyones avg battery life is for their notebooks, and what their specs are. Personally, my battery life sucks...I unplug it and walk upstairs, and its down about 3-4%...its almost pointless as a notebook...so is there any way to improve battery life? Any tips/suggestions …

MS is constantly updating XP so if you want the latest updates, then you are forced to get SP2...Granted the initial version wasn't so good, eventually it will even out. Without SP2, you won't be getting anymore updates, but thats your choice to make.

Personally, the Microsoft Wireless intellimouse explorer works the best. I use the logitech MX700 for my gaming computer, but as far as the laptop goes, this works the best. Small wireless transmiter...good battery life...and no reason for a charging hub or AC power (as with the MX700).
